Media Specialist I

REPORTS TO THIS POSITION TITLE  Creative Services Director

PURPOSE

The media specialist will support the Duncan media team through expert image processing, lighting and staging assistance, prop and general studio coordination, basic photography and digital asset management.

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING KEY RESULTS

• Process RAW photography images using PhotoShop with color accuracy, cropping, resizing, retouching and clipping paths 

• Maintain, organize and ensure all assets are in compliance with brand style guides in the company's DAM platform

• Keyword all digital assets for optimal search results

• Understanding the company's digital assets platform, as well as customer standards to help ensure that all digital assets are in alignment

• Curate assets to align with and support each Duncan brand's first-article shot list, meant to highlight each product’s features and benefits by utilizing existing digital assets

• Support the Design Team with digital-asset corrections, formatting and editing

• Coordinate between Creative and cross functional teams to ensure deliverables of digital assets

• Archive and help manage the network storage

• Other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor or Associate’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, with at least 1 year of related work experience, OR equivalent work experience in an advertising agency

  • Mid-level understanding of digital workflow and project management for both photography and video production

COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND/OR EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MACHINES

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator

  • Workfront (PMS)

  • Portfolio (DAM)

  • Intermediate knowledge of Mac and PC computers, operating systems and related programs, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Studio photography and video experience a plus 

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

• General office environment

• Required to regularly sit, stand, and walk 

• Vision and hearing to operate computer, conduct training and resolve issues brought in by Team Members

• Able to physically lift up to 40 pounds, climb stairs and ladder for event planning
