Media Specialist

REPORTS TO THIS POSITION TITLE  Studio Manager

PURPOSE

The media specialist will support the Duncan media team through expert image processing, lighting and staging assistance, prop and general studio coordination, basic photography and digital asset management.

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING KEY RESULTS


  • Process RAW images using various photography software with emphasis on color correction clipping paths, cropping, resizing, retouching and file conversion
  • Proof images with excellent color accuracy, informed cropping and appropriate file conversion
  • Manage the Duncan Digital Asset Management system (DAM) by developing and managing folder and file naming conventions create key wording lists for all digital assets
  • Utilize Workfront Project Management software to manage all assigned tasks
  • Assist studio team during production of photo and video shoots with setting and breaking down lighting/grip equipment as well as maintain cameras and lenses
  • Complete product, step-out and design photography as needed
  • Prepare, pack and load/unload photography, video, lighting and grip equipment
  • Help organize and manage accurate shot lists for photo and video shoots
  • Maintain and organize props, backgrounds and studio materials as well as ensure that the studio and all equipment are kept in impeccable order and cleanliness

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Digital Visual Media or related field
  • Entry-level understanding of digital workflow and project management for both photography and video production
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a production studio, either with photography or video

COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND/OR EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MACHINES

  • Must have a near expert knowledge of most photography software including Canon Photo Professional, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, and Adobe Bridge
  • Expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop
  • Intermediate knowledge Mac and PC computers, operating systems and related software
  • Intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
